Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival begins March 1 – April 22, 2024. Find a FREE printable food and drink checklist further down in the post. Print it and mark the items you want to try on your trip!
During this annual festival you can feast, drink and be merry. Taste your way through a dozen festival marketplaces that offer an assortment of mouthwatering bites and beverages for every palate. This event doesn’t require a separate ticket. You just need your ticket to get into Disney California Adventure and a reservation for that park. The event includes lots of food, entertainment and merchandise. The FREE printable checklist below includes the location of each item.
Food and Wine Festival – THE FOOD
There are 10 different marketplaces plus other dining locations that will feature special festival menu items. You can plan ahead, look at menus and decide what you want to eat before your visit. I’m back from Food and Wine Festival 2024 and it was fantastic. Below is the Mickey shaped Snickers macaron, still a favorite for sure. Let me share some other must try food!

Above is a photo of what the marketplace food booths look like. Now the lines to get food, drinks, or snacks can get very long. But I have a PRO TIP! Find the shortest food booth line out of the 10 marketplaces. Look for the “Order here” sign. Now order any of the food offerings available from ANY of the 10 marketplace menu items at the booth with the shortest line. That’s why you need a checklist (located at the bottom of this post) with all the food so you know what to order from the one location you choose to order from. Then pay for all your items at the booth with the shortest line. Now take your receipt to each marketplace that makes that item and look for the “Pick up Here” sign to get your food!!!
Now DON’T loose your receipt, that’s the only way to prove you’ve paid for an item. As you pick up your items they will mark them off. This tip is a huge time saver especially during spring break time and heavy crowds. And the other tip I suggest is get your food early in the day. The marketplaces open at 10:30 a.m. As the day goes on the lines get longer!
Sip and Savor Pass
Enjoy again this year the Sip and Savor Pass, which consists of a commemorative credential, lanyard and 8 coupons or new this year 4 coupons. Redeem for select food and beverage offerings (excluding alcohol) at participating Festival Marketplaces and dining locations. You can purchase the Sip and Savor Pass at many locations throughout the park. Magic Key holders will receive a reduced price as well as a special souvenir lanyard. The cost of the Sip and Savor with 8 coupons is $61 for guests and $56 for Magic Key holders and/or Disney Visa Card holders. And the pass with 4 coupons is $31 for everyone.
I always get asked, is the Sip and Savor Pass worth it? Well I can’t really answer that question because it depends on what items you are eating. If you choose eight $5.00 items to use your coupons on then no. Get an idea of what you want to eat or drink and estimate a total then divide by 8 (the number of tabs you receive). The idea is to use the tabs on the higher valued items to get the most value out of the pass.
Return of Soarin’ Over California
Another exciting part about this event is the return of Soarin’ Over California. This attraction was removed and we have enjoyed Soarin’ Around the World, but I really enjoy the California version of this ride. I love the smell of oranges and traveling all over California. This attraction returns March 1st to Disney California Adventure and is available until the end of April.
Entertainment for everyone
There are some shows that take place during the festival. Some performances are daily and then some only take place on the weekends. The Jammin’ Chefs show is found over in front of the Little Mermaid ride. The high energy drummers sing and dance along with Chip and Dale in their chef outfits. It’s a cute culinary themed show that will entertain all ages. Check showtimes in the Disneyland app.
Culinary Demonstrations with Disney Chefs
Complimentary culinary demonstrations with local, celebrity and Disney chefs will return for the whole family to enjoy on Saturdays and Sundays during the festival. And for those looking to enhance their festival experience, special signature events will also be available to book and purchase, including the Carthay Circle Winemaker Receptions, and Wine, Beer and Mixology Education & Tasting Seminars.
Culinary Demonstrations and other entertainment
Don’t miss mini cooking demonstrations and educational farm-to-table presentations by some of our Festival sponsors involved in growing the foods we eat. Saturdays and Sundays normally 3:30, 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. Entertainment will fill the festival’s stages, with live musical performances at the Palisades Stage and Paradise Gardens Bandstand. Plus there are craft activities in front of the Little Mermaid attraction. Also you can meet Chef Goofy in Hollywood land.
Entertainment for the kids
They offer a cute festival experience for junior chefs at the Hollywood Backlot Stage. During “Confection Purrfection with the SuperKitties,” kids ages 3 through 11 will have the opportunity to express their creativity through hands-on cupcake decorating. Space is limited, and participant sign-ups begin 45 minutes before each show time. A line forms to the left of the stage. Check on the day you arrive in the app for show times. Also right next to the staging area they have free craft stations for the kids. They can color their own Chef Mickey hat to take home as a souvenir.
FREE printable Food and Wine checklist
Below is the magical list you can print before your trip. You are going to want this list to help you decide what to eat and drink at the festival. Plus it will tell you where each item is located, at which marketplace or restaurant. In addition you can see which locations accept the Sip and Savor tabs. This printable includes all the food and non-alcoholic drinks this year at the festival. Click here to print the list!
I hope you get a chance to check out the Food and Wine Festival this year. There’s something for everyone. Happy eating and celebrating at this fun event.
Need theme park tickets or hotel for your visit. I’d suggest looking at this post.
Pin this post to your Disney board.
Can you use that same time-saving trick of going to the “pick up here” line with the tickets from the sip and savor pass as well just like you would with the receipt?
When you go to pay for your items at the one booth you can pay with the tabs from the Sip and Savor pass. Then you take the receipt to each different booth.
Are the food booths just kinda get in line and order, or do you order on the app? And do you need any reservations? And while I have you, do you know why Soarin’ over California is losing the last week of the food and wine fest? Just curious if they’re renovating it or if it’s gone for good. Thanks!!
Read the post about how to get food. You stand in line and order all food at one booth. Nothing is done in the app and you don’t need reservations. Soarin’ Over California is only for the festival and then they change it back to the normal World version.
