Disneyland food available year round

Food and drinks available year round at Disneyland plus printable lists of food, breakfast, drinks, kids meals and allergy friendly menus.  There are so many dining options available at Disneyland with lots of food and beverage options.  Trying to figure out where to go eat and then what to eat or drink once you get there can be a bit overwhelming.  And if you have kids that are picky eaters it’s nice to know where you can find the food they will eat.  Then what about breakfast where can you find it?  Another challenge for some are allergies to certain food and I’ve got a helpful guide for this as well.

Breakfast at Pym Test Kitchen

With a little bit of planning and prep work you’ll feel prepared for your next or first visit to the Disneyland Resort.  I’m here to help make planning easier.  I love lists and checking things off.  I also like to have everything in one place where I can see all my options.  I’ve created 5 FREE dining printable checklists located at the bottom of this post.

  • Disneyland Food list
  • Disney California Adventure Food list
  • Disneyland Breakfast and Beverage list
  • Disneyland Food Guide for Toddlers and Picky Eaters
  • Disneyland Allergy Friendly Restaurant Guide

And the BEST part, these lists only contain food that’s available YEAR ROUND in the parks like Mickey shaped waffles at Carnation Cafe.  More about breakfast further down in this post.  There’s nothing worse than seeing a pretty Instagram photo of something from Disneyland and getting all excited to try it when you go only to find out it was a seasonal item.  I love the seasonal food, but I want to be able to plan some of the staples that I know will be available.  There’s lots to share so make sure you read all the way to the end for some of my favorite foods, slushy drinks and breakfast options.  Then I’ll move onto the picky eaters and finish with allergy menus/options.

Disneyland food favorites available year round

I’ve been visiting the parks for decades and I have some favorite food items that I must get every time.  And I’ve learned some helpful tips about a few of them that I feel I need to share with you or I just wouldn’t be a very good Disney friend.

Mickey shaped beignets

I love Mickey shaped food and the Mickey beignets are my favorite treat at the parks!  Find these delicious beignets at The Mint Julep in New Orleans Square near the Haunted Mansion. To purchase beignets you can mobile order in the app or stand in line to order.  You can purchase a 3 pack or a 6 pack of beignets.  Pro tip you CAN mix and match on the 6-pack. You can get 3 regular beignets and 3 of the seasonal ones. Mint Julep sells seasonal flavors most of the year. The flavors vary including candy cane and pumpkin!  Plus this is where they sell the famous mint julep drink! Such a refreshing drink and pairs well with the beignets.

On a side note if you’re craving Mickey shaped beignets at home I have the recipe from Disneyland over here on the blog.

Monte Cristo

My favorite savory meal is the Monte Cristo sandwich. You can find this yummy sandwich in two locations.

  • On the lunchtime menu at the Blue Bayou‘s for $31.
  • Lunch and dinner at Café Orleans served with Pommes Frites for $24.

This delicious sandwich comes with Ham, Turkey and Swiss cheese fried in light batter. It can easily be split between two people (note split fee plate may apply). I always ask for two servings of jam and two servings of the Cajun-spiced Remoulade that comes with the Pommes Frites.  Also at Café Orleans you can order this sandwich with cheese only. It comes with Swiss, Mozzarella, and Double Crème Brie cheese!  I recommend making reservations ahead of time if you’re dining at either location. You can reserve dining through the app, on the website.  Here’s a quick tutorial too.  For more reservation tips including how to get FREE dining alerts on this post.

Fried chicken at Plaza Inn

Can we talk about the best meal at Disneyland?  I know above I said my favorite savory meal is the Monte Cristo, but this is a VERY close second.  The fried chicken plate comes with three pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, a vegetable and a biscuit.  You can even substitute out the veggie for double mashed potatoes!  This plate is easily sharable for $19.49.  No reservations required and no mobile order option available.  Plaza Inn is a cafeteria style dining location and the line moves quickly.  I highly recommend this meal!

Grilled Cheese sandwich and Tomato Basil soup

Next up my favorite go to quick service meal.  The grilled cheese sandwich and tomato basil soup combo at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe is SO GOOD!  And the best thing is now you can use mobile ordering and skip the line!  But if you do wait in line make sure you look inside the bakery cases. They have the most delicious desserts!  I love to eat here cause the location is perfect at the end of Main Street. You have a great view of the hub, castle and Matterhorn while you eat outside on the patio.  Plus at certain times during the day you can enjoy music by the Main Street piano player. And he even takes requests!

Famous Disneyland Corn Dog

I’m not normally a corn dog fan, but there’s something amazing about a corn dog at Disneyland! The original and first location, the Little Red Wagon, is on Main Street.  And this used to be the only place you could get a corn dog. But now you can go to Frontierland and get one at the Stage Door Café or if you’re in Disney California Adventure you can get one at the Corn Dog Castle.  And remember that you can use mobile ordering at all of these locations.  If you’ve never had one try it you’ll thank me later!

Don’t forget the Dole Whip

One of the most popular treats at Disneyland is the Dole Whip.  You can now find it at 2 locations in Disneyland plus one location outside the gates if you don’t have a ticket.  First you can purchase it from the original location, The Tiki Juice Bar.  I recommend mobile ordering this because the lines can get very long for this treat.  The other tip if you don’t mobile order don’t stand in the line outside of the Tiki Juice Bar, go to the line inside where you wait for the show.  If you go into the queue for Walt’s Enchanted Tiki Room you will find a much shorter line.  Grab your Dole Whip and head into the next Tiki show where you’ll enjoy a show with your treat. This location serves Dole Whip and a Dole Whip float only.

Tiki Juice Bar Dole Whip float

There is another location that offers Dole Whip.  The Tropical Hideaway in Adventureland next to the Jungle Cruise is a new quick service option. It’s a fun place to grab a snack and relax in this perfect themed tropical location!  Plus they serve more than one flavor of Dole Whip and some other fun options.  They have the following options

  • Dole Whip pineapple, lemon, mango, and raspberry (can be swirled)
  • Dole Whip floats with pineapple juice
  • Loaded Dole Whips (not always on the menu) with chamoy, mango, and chile-lime
Tropical Hideaway Dole Whip swirl pineapple and raspberry

And lastly if you are craving Dole Whip, but don’t have a ticket to go inside Disneyland have no fear there’s an option for you!  Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill at the Disneyland Hotel serves Dole Whip, Dole Whip floats and Dole Whip topped with rum!  Plus this location offers mobile order!  I’d recommend self parking at the Disneyland hotel to go to this location.  Tangaroa Terrace will validate your parking.  Plus the views and ambiance here is very tropical and fun!

Tangaroa Terrace Dole Whip float

And if you’re looking for more options I have another article with 30+ snacks and treats found year round in both parks!  Hop over here to find more delicious options!

Also my friends The Insiders published a book about all the food at Disneyland.  If you’d like a comprehensive look at all the food found in both parks check out their book and other offers!

Non-alcoholic slushy drinks

I am all about slushy drinks in the parks.  I love a cold beverage especially at Disney.  There are many that are found year round.  Some of my favorites are frozen apple juice and frozen Coke.  There is only one place to find a frozen Coke over in Disney California Adventure near Silly Symphony Swings at Chiller at Paradise Gardens Park.  They do sell frozen Coke inside Candy Palace in Disneyland but it’s not the same consistency.  The ice is more like pebbles not smooth as shown below.

Frozen Coke

You can find delicious frozen apple juice in Disneyland at the Fantasyland Fruit cart by Casey Jr. Circus Train.  Also over by the Matterhorn at the Edelweiss Snacks location.  This frozen delight really hits the spot.

Another fan favorite is the Boysen Apple Freeze at Maurice’s Treats at the cart next to the castle by the Royal Theatre.  This sweet drink is one you should put on your MUST try list if you’ve never had it. These are just a few of the fun drinks found around the parks.  You can find a complete list to print at the bottom of this post.  Print it and have fun tasting all of these slushy drinks

Breakfast options

There are only a few places open during breakfast time.  Here’s a list of options for breakfast in Disneyland and DCA!
Disneyland options

  • Carnation Cafe
  • Gallactic Grill
  • Jolly Holiday Bakery
  • Red Rose Taverne
  • Ship to Shore Marketplace
  • Ronto Roasters
  • Royal Street Veranda
  • Market House (Starbucks)
  • Plaza Inn character dining breakfast buffet

Disney California Adventure options

  • Pym Test Kitchen
  • Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe (Starbucks)
  • Shawarma Palace
  • Smokejumpers Grill
  • Cappuccino Cart

Find a printable checklist of all the breakfast locations at the bottom of this post.

Toddler kid meal locations in both Disneyland and DCA

If you’re traveling with kids who are picky eaters I have the key to keeping your child or maybe even adult happy.  I have complied a list of foods that are sure to please even the pickiest of eaters.  Food options like macaroni and cheese, hot dogs, chicken tenders/nuggets and more.  The list was created by food type and then everywhere you can find that particular item in both parks.  You’ll find the printable list down below.  And one other tip,  you can order these items a la carte off the menu even if they come in a kids meal.

Chicken tenders kids meal from Stage Door Cafe.

Allergy Friendly Restaurants at Disneyland

Over the years Disney has really tried to increase their allergy friendly option throughout the parks.  Accommodations can be made when placing a mobile order in the app.  At restaurants you can ask for a complete list of ingredients in items.  When dining at full service restaurants you can ask to speak to the chef and discuss your needs.  It’s nice to see more options for guests with food allergies.  Below you will find another list to print.  The list shows locations in each park that offer egg, fish, shellfish, gluten, wheat, milk, peanut, tree nut and soy allergy menus.

Print FOOD lists for Disneyland and DCA

Now it’s your turn to check out all the food offerings at the Disneyland Resort and start planning.  Print the checklists found below for each park. There are a total of 4 pages to print.  Print 2 pages for Disneyland and 2 pages for Disney California Adventure.  The food lists have every restaurant inside each park.  The restaurants are grouped by which land they are located.  That way if you’re in the park and find yourself hungry you could just look on your list.  Mark up the list before your trip and take it with you to use.  I also have more food lists below for breakfast, a beverage list, food allergy list and toddler list below.  Now get printing and making those plans!  Updated 10/2023
