The brand new Hampton Inn and Suites Anaheim Convention Center hotel is located one mile from Disneyland. Also down the street from the Anaheim GardenWalk, the Anaheim Convention Center and more. They serve complimentary hot breakfast with a huge variety! The hotel is also located within walking distance to many dining options. They offer two different rooms types including a king suite with bunk beds, perfect for families.
Full disclosure I was invited to come stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites Convention Center, but the thoughts and opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links which means I make a little something when you purchase through the link with no extra cost to you.
About the rooms
This hotel has standard rooms with queens and also suites that sleep up to six. The King suite has bunk beds which the kids love! Each room has standard items like mini refrigerator, microwave, safe, TV, a coffee maker and bathtub/shower combo. Plus a full size ironing board in the room. The rooms are very clean as well!
They offer a 2 Queen standard room that sleeps up to 4. See photos below of the room and bathroom.
The King suite has 1 King bed, a set of sturdy bunk beds and a sofa bed. There is a separate sliding door to divide the King bed from the bunk beds and sofa bed. This room sleeps up to 6 guests. It’s perfect for families or a larger party. See photo below.
Proximity to Disneyland
The hotel is located less than a mile from Disneyland. You could walk but I wouldn’t recommend that option. It’s about an 18-20 minute walk. There is an ART (Anaheim Regional Transportation) bus stop across the street in front of 7-11 that will take you to the parks for a fee. You could also get an Uber or Lyft. The Anaheim Convention Center is about an 8 minute walk up the street. And the Anaheim GardenWalk is about 5-6 minute walk.
Breakfast
Breakfast is included with your stay. They have a huge breakfast buffet with many hot and cold items. Hot items can vary from sausage, eggs, hash browns, pancakes, breakfast bagel sandwiches to name a few. I loved making my own waffles. Plus they have muffins, toast, English muffins, cereal, fruit, milk, juices and coffee.
Parking
Parking is $28 plus tax per night.
Pool
There is an outdoor heated pool and hot tub for guests to enjoy. Photo of the pool area is shown at the beginning of this post.
More amenities
I need to talk about the showers! As a taller person I appreciate when the shower head is higher in the shower. Thank you for this added touch. The sliding bathroom barn door doubled as the closet door, a great use of the space.
There is an onsite laundry facility and fitness center as well. And one last feature I noticed in the room was a suit holder, which I’ve never seen in a room (nice added touch).
My review
This hotel is only a year or so old and you can tell it’s basically brand new. The location might be a little further from Disneyland, but the inclusion of their fantastic breakfast is important to consider when looking at hotels. The Hampton Inn and Suites is also within walking distance of several restaurants which is very convenient. I would definitely stay here again. I used the ART transportation to get to and from the parks with no problems.
