This holiday season experience the parade dining package offered at the Plaza Inn located inside Disneyland. The offer includes a delicious meal and reserved seating for the second “A Christmas Fantasy” parade. I have done this dining package, loved it and highly recommend this option! The reserved seating for the parade alone is worth the price! I have also done the Magic Happens parade dining package from Plaza Inn. The menu is different, but the details about where to sit and tips are the same for any parade package from this location. Let me tell you more about the holiday package. If you’d prefer I have a video showing everything you need to know about the Plaza Inn holiday parade dining package.
Dining package details
First you need to get a dining reservation for lunch at the Plaza Inn from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. only. This offer is available during the following dates … November 18 – December 30, 2024.
To book a reservation go into the Disneyland website or app. Search under dining for the Plaza Inn dining package. If you can’t get a reservation before your trip go to the Plaza Inn the morning of your visit and see if they have any reservations left. You can also sign up here for free dining alerts from Mouse Dining. They will alert you when a reservation becomes available. I have used their service many times and scored hard to get dining reservations. The cost for the meal and exclusive parade seating for adults is $52 and children (ages 3-9) are $29 plus tax.
Dining package menu
The meal that comes with the parade dining package is already prepared. It’s not like you sit down and order off a menu. And I am here to tell you that this meal was the best thing I ate while at Disneyland all week. The Adult menu includes beef bourguignon, roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, black forest yule log for dessert and your choice of drink. The meat was so tender and delicious. I also gobbled up the Brussel sprouts (not sure what the roasted vegetable will be this year)! The whole meal was so good! The kids menu has chicken tenders, potatoes, vegetables, yule log dessert and your choice of drink.
Each package includes:
- One entrée, dessert and drink (fountain drink or Dasani water)
- One voucher that provides access to the Reserved Parade Viewing area (don’t loose this, it’s the only way to get into the reserved seating area.
- One Plaza Inn credential (keepsake lanyard)
Dining package reserved parade viewing
With your meal each person receives a voucher for access to the parade’s second viewing in a reserved area. The reserved parade viewing area is in front of the train station in Town Square as seen on the map below. Here’s a photo from a previous parade dining package. You can see my niece standing in the purple shirt, that’s where we sat for the parade.
This right here is the reason I recommend the dining package. We didn’t have to save seats for hours. I saw people lining up and down Main Street hours before the parade started, but the dining package allowed us more time to do other things.
We got to the parade viewing area at 5:45 p.m. and they were already letting people in to find a seat. The instructions on the credentials said to arrive between 6:00 – 6:30 p.m. But don’t wait until the last minute to show up at the reserved viewing area, remember you’re not the only one who purchased a dining package. In the special viewing area you can choose to sit during the parade which was nice! You are right up front and the views of the parade as seen below are awesome.
Plaza Inn dining package review
If doing the parade dining package at the Plaza Inn is in your budget I say do it! Not waiting and sitting forever for the parade is worth it to me. There are so many other holiday items to cross off the list. Use your extra time to do those things. For a complete list of all the things included with your park ticket check out this holiday post! And print your holiday guide so you don’t miss anything this year!
There is another reserved parade viewing option. You can book and go on the Holiday Time at Disneyland Resort Tour. I loved this parade view as well, but it’s more expensive. I would book the Plaza Inn dining package for my family again in a heartbeat!
Another great planning tool is located over here on my holiday food post. I have created another free printable where you can see a list of all the holiday food offered during this season. I’d print off this list too and have it handy during your visit. I hope you enjoy the most magical time in the parks! Please let me know if you have any questions in the comments below!
