The brand new Viv Hotel, Anaheim, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel is conveniently located near the Disneyland Resort (1.6 miles away), Anaheim GardenWalk and Angel Stadium. Choose between one of their bunk-bed rooms if you’re traveling with a family, or a spacious room with two queen beds. Guests can enjoy two outdoor heated swimming pools, jacuzzi, splash pad and more. Enjoy the hotel rooftop bar, Top of the V, for great views of the Disneyland resort.
Full disclosure I was invited to come stay at the Viv, but the thoughts and opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links which means I make a little something when you purchase through the link with no extra cost to you.
About the rooms
The Viv hotel offers a few different room types. The hotel was built in 2020 and the rooms are VERY clean with laminate flooring, no carpet! Lots of storage and space in the rooms. Each room has your standard things like mini refrigerator, safe, TV, a coffee maker, bathtub/shower combo in some rooms and shower only in other rooms. The most popular room types are…
2 Queen, Standard room sleeps 4 with an option to book a theme park view.
2 Queen, Bunk bed with twin bunk beds sleeps 6 with an option to book a theme park view.
On one of my recent stays at the Viv, I filmed a YouTube video of the entire property including rooms, pools, lobby etc. You might find it helpful to watch!
Close to Disneyland
The hotel is located close to many local places like Disneyland, Angels baseball stadium and Anaheim GardenWalk. If you have a car they are all within 5-7 minutes. I would not walk to Disneyland from this hotel. But rather use local transportation. There is an Anaheim Resort Transit bus stop located in front of the hotel for your convenience. If you’d like to purchase bus passes ahead of time visit here for discounted prices.
Breakfast
Breakfast is offered for an additional fee. The Viv Hotel offers several onsite eateries, including the rooftop restaurant & bar, Top of the V. Another dining option is Valencia’s at the Viv, a culinary experience that serves a modern take on Baja California style cuisine. We had breakfast at Valencia’s sit down restaurant. We enjoyed a traditional breakfast with eggs, bacon or sausage, toast and breakfast potatoes. Valencia’s also serves dinner.
We also ate more of a grab and go type breakfast from Melody’s Market in the lobby. They serve muffins, pastries, bagels, coffee, beverages and other items for purchase that you can take on the go.
Parking
Self-parking is available for $35/day parking fee or valet services are available for an additional fee. There is a parking structure with undercover parking right there on the premises.
Pool
There are two outdoor heated pools. One is located on the ground level for everyone. There is an adults only pool located on the rooftop for 18 years and older. The views from up top are incredible. Also on the ground floor there is a hot tub and a splash pad for all to enjoy. At nighttime the splash pad area is light up it’s almost like a mini World of Color show, check it out on your visit!
Top of the V
Enjoy fantastic views from the Viv’s very own rooftop bar. Top of the V is located on the 12th floor of the Viv Hotel. There is indoor and outdoor seating with amazing views of the Disneyland resort, perfect for nighttime fireworks views. To book a reservation at the Top of the V, use the Open Table app. This rooftop bar is for anyone not just hotel guests. So if you’d like to book a special night out and watch the fireworks check out the rooftop bar at the Viv! I have dined with friends at Top of the V and you can’t beat the views and ambiance it’s a vibe!
More amenities
Some of the other amenities that I’d like to point out at the hotel include free Wifi, an exercise room and a gift shop with many unique Disney souvenirs. The ice machines located on the even floors (2, 4, 6, 8 and 10) have good pebble ice if you’re a fan of good ice, they’ve got it!
My review
I really enjoyed my stay at the Viv Hotel. Excellent customer service, super clean room and fun modern feel. The staff was attentive and helpful. The concierge service team was very informative and kind. Housecleaning came to our room everyday of our stay. We used the local transportation to get to the Disneyland Resort. Easy to use, but be patient. Also note there are not other dining locations nearby which is why it was nice to have onsite dining options. I would stay at the Viv hotel again, no complaints!
